I discover a lot of old 8-20 years images reposted from several sites that I have interest on (mostly from Pinterest) but image is low-res or badly edited, I tried all reverse search engines but the original posts/artists was no longer exist/removed.
I've done some manual deep digging from many sites but to no avail.
Should I consider it as "Lost media" and cope with AI upscaler/optimization tools?

Images that we consider "low-res" now were actually standard resolution or even high-resolution 8-20 years ago. There's a decent chance that the "low-res" images you've found are the original resolution.
